Visiting Display Plan was a little surreal as I have been working in marks and spenders for over three years and it was an extreme eye opener to learn about the business behind the scenes. It also gave me an insight into employability skills from the advice off Paul Bruxton and Duddly Roberts who explained to us how important it is to know the company you are applying for and the importance of the presentation of your work.
I also started to think about how my product for this project will be sustainable and environmentally friendly and how it will work for mass production if it got to that stage. These are still very important factors to consider. I also learnt how the customer wants an experience in a store and more and more retail brands are celebrating the customer experience factor to make a better impression on their brand. I saw this a lot in the high brand stores we visited last week.
